My Mittens (I think the fact that one looks enormously larger than the other is an optical illusion- really).
A new exhibit opened at the Natural History Museum: Real and Robotic Reptiles. They had very large robots - a rattlesnake, crocodile, snapping turtle and gecko. They also had some kind on dinosaur/mammal animal robot which was most disturbing ... a downed cute looking dinosaur being gnawed at by some smallish black critters ... and one of the small creatures impaled on the dinosaur's claws. Really quite disturbing and yukky to look at- and hard to explain to the little ones.

We visited the Discovery Center today and were thrilled that children were just as delighted with the exhibits and amused themselves for about an hour or so. They particularly like the helicopter in the lobby
and playing with the airflow in the motion exhibit
...We took the children to their first Dim Sum which was quite yummy ... James ate loads and was quite partial to the squid ...
Chloe did not eat much but she had fun with the duck sauce ...
All in all it was very nice ...
and we were happy .. and full
