What a day!!!

I had planned to take Chloe and me to the doctors yesterday - this coughing has left us both terribly tired and in that feeling that we will never get better. Things took a very different turn, however, when Neil said he'd been having chest pains since Friday and was actually planning to try and go to the doctor. We are lucky it is possible to walk about 75 yards to the drs office, which he did. He returned about 5 minutes later rather ashen faced and asking to be driven to the emergency room. We all started out in the van- got onto the next street and realised the car was making an odd sound. Upon inspection we found a flat tire. Luckily we have another car and in the interim I called a friend to take the kids. Luckily it was President's Day and they were home with their kids. After four hours in Emergency, which was a relatively pleasant experience (outside of the worry and stress), Neil got a clean bill of health and an appointment for a stress test the net day. He passed that with flying colours so our minds are relieved.
