At the beginning of July we had a wonderful visit with Robert and Marci Schneider. Robert is best known as a rock star - the front man for the group Apples, in Stereo. Really, a rock star in our living room!! The children knew of Robert first as his alter-ego Robert-Bobbert and the Bubble Machine. Neil met Robert at a math conference - he is studying math as well being a musician- and he came to Clemson to talk to Neil's REU students on the way to Athens to record music. What a treat it was - we were all enchanted by them. Here Chloe is teaching them to fold origami.
James is coming along really well with his writing and reading comprehension. Chloe helps.
Over the past month Monty and Ginger and Spot have been getting to know each other. Spot is quite taken with Monty, especially his tail. Here they gaze out of the front door together.
The cats are most frequently seen as streaks running through the house at top speed or playing under and over everything in the house.
How
ever, occasionally they settle.
