Pictures hung- thank you S!!! I purchased my first Richard Burnside about 1o years ago. They are hard to hang because they are on plywood but I now have 3 up- my favorite a white wolf on a blue background, and a pair of wolves in the bedroom - yellow on a green background. Richard came by about 5 times yesterday. There was an article in the paper about a traveling exhibit of African-American art, curated by the SC Arts Commission. The largest picture in the article was a Burnside "queen" done in 1991. He was pleased with the coverage and wanted copies of the articles and asked me to frame the original ... he came back several times over the course of the day for more copies. In the process I showed him my hung white wolf- which now has some wear (dusty, cracked paint and a couple of missing toenails - painted pine cone pieces). R wanted to repaint it - gold edging and shiny white paint, instead of matt -NOOOOO!
The other piece S hung was quite different, but also loved - a William Morris tapestry bought from England - not by his hands but made on his loom.
Progress indeed.
