What a lovely day!

Today we were fortunate enough to celebrate some dear friends 40th wedding anniversary! In the process we got to meet their family who live away, and visit with their family who live a little closer. It was a lovely, lovely time on many scores but not least that we felt like family too. The kids bonded instantly (in various combinations- b & b, b & g, b,b,& g) with the new "cousin" and made lots of riotous noise. I got to play Bananagrams with fresh blood and actually won, and liked my words. For the kids, and I suspect many of the adults, the sight of big fat flakes of snow added to the delight of the evening, The kids immediately put on shoes and coats and began making, and throwing, snowballs.
