Summer is in full swing!

We've had a busy couple of days to launch the summer. Chloe and a couple of friends are talking drama camp at the local theater. I love living in Pendleton - we can walk to the theater in under five minutes and the kids run joyously along the sidewalks to the destination. We often see people we know on the way there or on the way back. Today it was Richard Burnside our local outsider artist working on what looked like his version of a dragonfly. The girls are really enjoying the camp, although Chloe is hesitant to be on the stage at the moment who knows how this will affect her in the long run.
Since Chloe and Molly are in camp their brothers are at somewhat loose ends. Tomorrow we are taking them to see Kung Fu Panda at a local cinema in Anderson.
We have joined the Clemson Outdoor Swimming Pool and have spent several idyllic hours with the kids in the pool - slowly becoming more comfortable in the water and becoming gently browner.
On a more somber note my beautiful cat Cassie left this world last week. She was a wonderful kittie, but it was her time. We love you Cassie.
