Too eager for peas

The peas we planted in a planter froze solid! One ventured out but looked totally puny. On the other hand our 15 bean soup mix grew like gangbusters - they are up about 6-10 inches. It was very exciting to see them and think about the process with the kids. We tried the experiment again but using bird seed and we videoed it ... they really are quite wonderful children.
